Specialist Neurological and Elderly Rehabilitation Physiotherapist

Rebecca Faulkner 1

Rebecca Faulkner is a highly experienced Specialist Neurological Physiotherapist who takes a patient-centred and relationship-led approach to rehabilitation. Through personalised treatment planning she supports patients to improve movement, confidence, and independence through functional exercise and activity.

Rebecca graduated from Bradford University in 2002 with a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy. She worked within the NHS in both hospital and community rehabilitation settings before moving into private practice in 2020. Throughout her career, she has developed extensive experience working with elderly patients, delivering physiotherapy in patients’ own homes and care home environments.

Rebecca has specialist expertise in the treatment of complex neurological conditions, including stroke, Parkinson’s disease, multiple sclerosis, and acquired brain injury. Her extensive postgraduate training includes Bobath training and functional electrical stimulation (FES) for both upper and lower limbs. She is known for achieving very positive outcomes, particularly with older adults, through consistent, well-supported rehabilitation.

Rebecca’s strength lies in the strong, trusting relationships she builds with patients and their families. By taking time to listen, understand individual priorities, and involve families and carers in the rehabilitation process, she creates a supportive and motivating environment. This collaborative approach helps patients feel confident, engaged, and empowered, leading to real improvements in mobility, independence, and quality of life.
